Charli revealed that when she was performing the song “Blow” during the musical “& Juliet,” she was wearing white pants. When she bent down and did a dance move during the performance, her pants ripped in half. Recalling the moment, she said, “Oh my god! My pants ripped!”
The funniest part? Charli was wearing bright red underwear on this special day, which the audience also noticed. Although the moment was extremely embarrassing for her, she composed herself and continued the performance. “I’m embarrassed, but the show must go on!” she joked.
Charli D’Amelio’s funny story about dealing with a wardrobe malfunction on stage!
Clothing malfunctions during a performance can be any dancer’s worst nightmare, and Charli D’Amelio experienced it at one of her recent shows.
When her pants suddenly ripped, Charli quickly tried to exit the stage with her back to the audience. “I literally walked backwards, like nobody would notice,” she explained with a laugh.
The wardrobe team tried to help her and pin the pants back on, but as Charli squatted down, the pin broke. Now she had no choice—she had to wear a whole new pair of pants. The trouble was, the rest of the dancers were wearing white and gold pants, while Charli was forced to wear orange pants.
“Oh my god,” she said again, recalling the awkward moment.
Finally, Charlie laughed and said, “Yeah, you learn from it. Very embarrassing! The funny thing is, before the show, I thought, ‘Maybe I should change clothes’ but then told myself, ‘Nobody will see.’ I was wrong!”
