Marvel has finally released the much-anticipated first trailer for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps!“!
The film stars Pedro Pascal (“The Last of Us“) as Mister Fantastic, while Vanessa Kirby (“Napoleon”) plays the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn (“Stranger Things”) as the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (“The Bear“) as the Thing.
The trailer not only gives us glimpses of the superheroes before and after they gain their powers but also shows the explosive entry of a dangerous villain like Galactus (Ralph Ineson). Also, a strong cast of Silver Surfer (Julia Garner), Paul Walter Hauser, Natasha Lyonne, and John Malkovich will make their presence felt in the film.
But what’s most special about this trailer? It presents the Fantastic Four as a family, not just superheroes. As Kirby’s character’s dialogue says:
“Whatever life throws at us, we face it together—as a family!”

The First Family of “Fantastic Four” presented the trailer at a special event and echoed, “It’s clobbering time!”
The First Family was present in person at the grand launch event of the film, where the audience got the first glimpse of this much-awaited trailer. The atmosphere became more exciting when Ebon Moss-Bachrach joined the crowd and shouted “It’s clobbering time!” in a loud manner.
Pedro Pascal also shared his feelings about his debut in the MCU at the event. He said,
“I have never experienced anything like this before, where the whole team felt like a family.” He further added,
“Every day when we finished shooting, I was anxious—”When ‘will I be able to see them again?’ We have put our heart, soul and body into this film!”
The excitement for this retro-style adventure of the MCU has increased more than ever! 🚀🔥
1960s retro-futuristic setting, but not the same New York of the MCU!
This new version of “Fantastic Four” will take viewers straight to 1960s retro-futuristic Manhattan! But wait, this won’t be the same New York that MCU fans know so far.
Kevin Feige revealed on “The Official Marvel Podcast” that the film will be a period piece, set in New York City, but in a different and unique way. He hinted that the New York shown so far in the MCU could be completely different from this.
Is this a sign of an alternate universe? Or is Marvel preparing for a new and revolutionary timeline? 🌀✨
Fantastic Four: The Journey Before They Entered the MCU!
The Fantastic Four have gone through two different eras before joining the MCU, both under the 20th Century Fox banner.
In the 2000s, Ioan Gruffudd (Mr. Fantastic), Jessica Alba (Invisible Woman), Chris Evans (Human Torch), and Michael Chiklis (Thing) played the superheroes in two films. But then came the 2015 reboot, starring Miles Teller, Kata Mara, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell, which tried to reinvent the team—but the movie flopped miserably.
The MCU has teased the Fantastic Four before. In a fun cameo in “Deadpool & Wolverine,” Chris Evans returned as the Human Torch—but met a brutal end! Meanwhile, John Krasinski became Mr. Fantastic in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” but his fate wasn’t much better.
Now, after Disney’s acquisition, Marvel’s First Family is finally making its way into the MCU—will it be true the third time around? ⏳
