As a teenager, Melissa had a huge crush on a charming model who appeared in Mariah Carey’s 1997 music video “Honey”. But she did not know that years later, that same man would become the most important part of her life.
In 2017, while sharing this anecdote on the Steve Harvey Show, Melissa said, “When I was 13-14, this video used to play a lot on MTV, and I would see the hot guy in it and always think – ‘Who is this?'”
Years later, they met on the set of “One Life to Live” – Melissa played Adriana Kramer and David played Christian Vega. Surprisingly, Melissa didn’t realise initially that her co-star was the same person she had a crush on years ago!
Initially, Melissa had a rule that she would never date an actor, so she didn’t make any advances towards David. But slowly the chemistry between the two grew so strong that they got engaged in 2006 and tied the knot in 2007 in New Jersey.

In April 2018, David Fumero made a wonderful guest appearance on the popular comedy show ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’. Notably, he shared the screen with his wife Melissa Fumero in this episode.
In Season 5, Episode 15 (“The Puzzle Master”), David played Melvin “Vin” Sturmley—a charismatic crossword puzzle writer who joins the team of Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and Amy Santiago in an arson investigation.
During the episode, Jake recruits his idol Vin Sturmley to the case to surprise Amy, but things get interesting when Jake becomes jealous of the growing rapport between Amy and Vin!
Melissa posted a photo on Instagram celebrating the special occasion and wrote,
