New on Netflix: 5 amazing shows and movies to watch this week!

This week Netflix has something very special to watch, and Robert De Niro’s first lead role in a TV show is the biggest highlight! “Zero Day” is coming to the streaming service this week, and we are eagerly waiting for it. In this brilliant political thriller, De Niro plays a former president who is investigating a devastating cyber terrorist attack that killed thousands of people. It also has a stellar cast including Lizzy Caplan, Jesse Plemons and Angela Bassett, which makes it even more interesting.

If you are a fan of thrill and action, then this show is perfect for you. It is one of the best options to watch on Netflix this week!

Apart from this, there is another entertaining offering this week – Rosebud Baker’s new comedy special, which will make you roll with laughter. And if you’re a fan of awards shows, the 31st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be hosted by Kristen Bell live on Sunday, February 23rd.

‘Zero Day’

Robert De Niro Stars in “Zero Day” – A New Political Thriller!

“Zero Day” stars Robert De Niro as former U.S. President George Mullen, who leads the Zero Day Commission to investigate a devastating cyber attack that unleashes havoc worldwide, killing 3,402 people. When Mullen learns that government insiders may have been behind the attack, he confronts a dangerous truth that complicates his quest for the truth.

Joining De Niro in this limited series are Lizzy Caplan as his daughter Alexandra, a member of Congress, and Jesse Plemons as his former aide. Alexandra faces the challenge of finding her political identity, while Plemons complicates President Mullen’s political decisions by interfering with his political decisions. Additionally, Angela Bassett as US President Evelyn Mitchell, and talented actors like Matthew Modine and Connie Britton make the show even more exciting and interesting.

The 31st Screen Actors Guild Awards: A Night of Star-Studded Glory

2025 Oscars and SAG Awards: A Star-Studded Weekend on Netflix!

As Oscars 2025 approaches, awards season is in full swing! This weekend, that means it’s time to watch the 31st Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards live on Netflix. Kristen Bell will host this year’s SAG Awards, which will honor the best acting achievements in both film and TV shows in 2024.

“Wicked”* has the most nominations in the film category this year, while “Shogun”* leads the way in the TV show category. Both have five nominations, and in my opinion, each of them is likely to win at least one award. While “Wicked”* seems to be the likely winner for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, “Shogun”* can’t afford to lose any awards this awards season. Tune in this Sunday at 7pm ET for the pre-show and then watch the ceremony begin at 8pm ET!

Watch on Netflix live starting at 7 p.m. ET on Feb. 23

Stand-up comedian Rosebud Baker won over audiences with “Saturday Night Live” and her first stand-up special “Whiskey Fists”. Now she is returning to Netflix with a new comedy special “The Mother Load”.

Going by the trailer, this special will be extremely interesting for the audience. It is shot in two parts – first when she is pregnant and second, when she gives birth to the baby.
