Hailing from New York, “Two Ways” star Erica Mena began her career as a model and music video vixen. Over time, she began appearing in reality TV and random scripted television and movies.

I’ll admit that the “Two Ways” star’s being fired from VH1/MTV in 2023 is no secret—especially after she called another cast member a “monkey.” That was wrong to say, no doubt about it. But was it just an extremely poor word choice? Maybe.
Her ex-husband and children are black, and she often works on projects where most of the cast and crew are black. Does that make her comments valid? Absolutely not. But in my opinion, it also doesn’t mean she’s actually racist.
